The fact that only 10% of the edge of the tire is the soft compound is a great selling gimmick for Michelin. With that being said though, the pilot power does offer better grip street and track. WebSep 29, 2015 · I got my bike almost a year ago with Michelin Pilot Powers on it. Since I mostly commute on it the rear now has a 2" wide flat spot after about 3000 miles. The front is still in pretty good shape. Most of my riding is commuting or running errands with the occasional weekend fun ride on mountain roads.

Not my experience, however this past weekend we took our bikes to a track day at Barbers where bud of mine which was turning 1:40's and 50's said he could tell a significant difference with the 2ct's at lean.
