I enabled both the Trailer brake control Module and the gain control under IPC. I have enabled and disabled multiple times and even unplugged and reset the module. Since it has sync 3, it also has the nice full color gauge cluster. This is a powerstroke truck with no optional towing package, so it come with 7/4 pin plug and that all works but did not come with trailer brake controller.

They said there isn’t a spot to add a fuse for it. Would it be possible to add a fused hot wire to the controller to power it? Has anyone installed one in their 18 yet? WebDec 6, 2024 · Working on a friends truck, trying to program the factory trailer brake controller that we just added. After install, we plugged in the wiring harness and used forscan to enable trailer brake control module, and trailer brake gain module, as per instructions. When the truck is turned on,, display says "trailer brake control fault".

I noticed on the screen that there was also a trailer brake module that was disabled. What is this for and do I need to enable it?
