At any time during the course of many endocrinopathies, muscle may become affected. The diagnosis of such a myopathy may be more difficult if it is the presenting manifestation of the endocrinopathy. WebSymptoms of encephalitis include fever, headache, and altered mental status, often accompanied by seizures and focal neurologic deficits. A gastrointestinal (GI) or respiratory prodrome may precede these symptoms. Meningeal signs are typically mild and less prominent than other manifestations.
