It’s a find thread so basic license plate screws don’t work right. I did have to downsize the front to a M6 -1.0x14 A-2 since it was just a bit too long and was poking into the fender. If drilling out a new hole for metric screws/bolts, the new hole that you drill should have diameter calculated as follows: hole diam = thread diam - thread pitch.
